Laing Middle School & Jennie Moore Elementary

CSE personnel served as the sole electrical engineer to design power, lighting and low voltage infrastructure for a new, $25 million, 155,000-square-foot elementary school and a new, $26 million, 150,000-square-foot middle school on a shared campus for the Charleston County School District.  

The project required utility coordination with multiple municipalities, short circuit and coordination studies, building power distribution systems analysis and design, building and site lighting design, light spill analysis, lighting simulation and illuminance calculations, low voltage system analysis and design, shop drawing review, supplemental instruction and change directive creation, site observation and construction progress documentation, and coordination with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
